Week of January 8, 2012—Jumping Into 2012 Feet First
Friday, January 13, 2012—Let It Go
If you’re to find success on your 2012 writing journey, you may have to let some things from 2011 (or before) go. This year is a fresh start. We don’t want to be weighed down by the past or by stinkin’ thinkin’.
Did you rack up a stack of form rejection letters last year? Let it go.
Did you not meet any of your goals for last year? Let it go.
Did your critique group disband? Let it go.
Were you not able to attend any writing training last year? Let it go.
Are you worried about not ever finishing anything? Let it go.
Did you have a book deal fall through at the last minute? Let it go.
Is no one else supporting your writing dreams? Let it go. (And maybe let them go!)
What do you need to let go in 2012? Write your responses below. Then let it go. Move on. Make 2012 your best writing year ever!
1. Let it go!
