Imagine-if Scenario #1

Week of September 4—Imagine if . . .
Tuesday, September 6—Imagine-if Scenario #1

Imagine if . . .

An editor who critiqued a piece of your writing at a recent conference sent out an email to several writers she’s met. Her instructions are specific, yet leave lots of room for creativity and variety. She writes:

I am looking for concept books—numbers, letters, time, seasons, shapes, any concept will do. But I want the concept you choose to be tied to a holiday. Your manuscript must be 500 words or less. I am looking for intriguing word play and active, engaging text. Please avoid being too quiet in your writing.

It’s Your Turn!
1. What are you going to write?
2. Sit down now and determine your concept and your holiday.
3. Write your draft.
