Yesterday was the Wizards of Writing Luncheon for my students who had scored a 6 (highest score possible) on our state writing assessment. One fourth grader toasted the group as the writers raised goblets of Pepsi and Sprite. In a loud voice he proclaimed: “Here’s to all the great writers everywhere!” We all shouted, "CHEERS!" in return.
And here's to YOU, great writer! CHEERS!

You told me about this luncheon, but I had no idea it was so fancy. The kids must have felt so special!!! You are the kind of teacher that kids will remember (in a good way--not in a Mrs.-Chapman-who-smelled-like-moth-balls kind of way). :)
