Twice a year The Horn Book, the quintessential guide to children’s literature, releases the The Horn Book Guide. “The Horn Book Guide strives to include short, critical reviews of all hardcover trade children’s and young adult books published in the United States within a six-month period.” After each release of The Horn Book Guide, I analyze the picture book reviews to see what I can learn that can impact and improve my picture book writing. Then I share what I discover with you. Stay tuned this week for lessons learned from the latest edition of the The Horn Book Guide.
