Week of August 7—What Rob Did On Summer Vacation—Conference Highlights
Quotes of the week:
No matter how one may think himself accomplished, when he sets out to learn a new language, science, or the bicycle, he has entered a new realm as truly as if he were a child newly born into the world.
—Frances Willard, How I Learned to Ride the Bicycle
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.
—Henry Ford
This has been a summer of learning. First, I attended the SCBWI-Florida Mid-year Meeting, then the Love & Suspense Next Level Intensive, then SCBWI—LA . . . what a busy summer. Add to that working on Picture This! which always leads me into stuff I’ve not learned about or don’t know enough about yet.
This week I’m going to recap some of things I’ve learned and discovered this summer. The process helps me review and solidify what I’ve learned, and perhaps you’ll be introduced to some new, helpful ideas.
